MIKE EPSSE DROPS ‘LAUGHING’ ON ESSE’S 'ESSEntial IMPRINT
Mike Epsse is quickly carving out his lane, and Laughing shows exactly why he’s been getting attention. The Mexico City producer has been steadily landing on labels like Terminal Underground, Wax Motif’s Divided Souls, and Confession, but this latest release feels like a step forward. Built around a rolling, synth-led bassline, Laughing leans into a darker, more driving feel, with a vocal that cuts through and low end that hits properly in a club setting. It’s already doing damage on dancefloors too, with support coming from Joseph Romano, BIJOU, and ESSE himself, who dropped at Trio in Charleston.
The track also lands as part of the early run of ESSEntial, the new imprint from ESSE. Off the back of his chart-topping Make My Day, ESSE is using the label to spotlight producers coming through, giving them a platform that actually connects with DJs. Early releases have already included names like Dillon Nathaniel and Kiro Prime, with more lined up, and the focus is clear: strong, DJ-ready records that work in real sets. Laughing fits straight into that vision and sets the tone for what ESSEntial is aiming to build.
With each release, both ESSEntial and Mike Epsse are continuing to build something that’s starting to get real attention. As 2026 unfolds, the momentum around both the imprint and the Mexican talent is only moving one way.
