Since landing on March 27th, ‘Fearless’ has picked up strong nods from the likes of Chris Lake, Biscits, Deeper Purpose, Shiba San, Tini Gessler, alongside editorial placement on Amazon Music’s Dirty Beats. It also broke into the Beatport Tech House Hype Top 100 and passed 15,000 views on the PROFOUND YouTube premiere within the first couple of weeks.

We caught up with Ribguga for a quick get to know 👇

GET TO KNOW RIBGUGA

What first got you into making music?
My father is also a musician, so I feel like I inherited this passion from him. But I only started producing my own beats during the pandemic in 2020.

When did things start to feel real for you as an artist?
When I started seeing my tracks being played every weekend by some of the biggest DJs in the world across the globe. That’s when it really hit me.

What’s something outside of music that influences your sound?
Definitely nightlife and the energy of the dance floor. Being in clubs, feeling how people react, and experiencing different atmospheres really shapes the way I produce.

Daytime festival or late night rave?
Late night rave.

Headphones or monitors?
Headphones.

Which Brazilian upcoming talent should we have our eyes on right now?
Brazil has a lot of amazing talent right now, but I’d say John Luz, Balanka, Carvalho (BR), and Scrid — all my homies haha.

What’s the story behind your new single ‘Fearless’?
“Fearless” came from a moment where I wanted to create something darker and more powerful for the dance floor. It’s a track driven by energy and attitude, reflecting a more confident phase in my sound.

What plugin or tools did you use to create the bassline on ‘Fearless’?
I mainly used Serum, along with saturation and compression to give it more punch and character. I focused on making the bass feel solid and groove tightly with the drums.

What’s coming up for you in 2026?
More releases, another tour, and continuing to push my sound forward. I’m working on new music and collaborations, so there’s a lot coming.
