WESTEND: BRINGS RAW HOUSE PARTY ENERGY BACK WITH ‘THE CEILING’

Westend returns with ‘The Ceiling’, a high-energy new single that taps into the loose, sweat-soaked spirit of early-2010s dance music. Out via John Summit’s Experts Only, the track brings together the Brooklyn-based producer’s club instincts with a standout vocal from Olivia Sebastianelli, landing as his second appearance on the label following ‘Drum Death’ with HOSANNA.

Written in London but carrying the unmistakable pulse of New York, ‘The Ceiling’ captures the feeling of a house party right before everything tips into chaos. Built around a gritty bassline, pounding four-on-the-floor drums and Sebastianelli’s hazy topline, the track balances unruly club energy with an uplifting vocal that gives it a wider, festival-ready feel.

Since emerging in 2016, native New Yorker Westend, has become a key name in the modern house and tech house landscape. His sound has helped shape the current wave of bass-forward, groove-heavy club music, with collaborations alongside John Summit, HUGEL, ACRAZE and SIDEPIECE, plus releases across labels including Toolroom, Catch & Release, Solotoko and Dirtybird.

Beyond his own catalogue, Westend has also built a strong reputation for supporting rising producers. His Kick & Bass community grew from online production coaching into a wider education and mentorship platform, before expanding further with the launch of Kick & Bass Records. He also launched his independent label Trace Amounts in 2023, with Forbes noting ‘Dive In’ as the imprint’s first release.

With ‘The Ceiling’, Westend leans into the instinctive, physical side of dance music - raw, chaotic and built for packed rooms. As 2026 brings his first Las Vegas residency at LIV, a hometown performance at Brooklyn Backyard and major festival appearances including EDC, Lollapalooza, Day Trip, Electric Forest and Elements, the single arrives at a moment where his sound feels bigger than ever.
