RISING PRODUCER MAKSWA DROPS ‘THE KICKDRUM EP’ VIA WHITE WIDOW RECORDS
Makswa, an emerging DJ and producer from Italy now based in London, is carving out his place as one of the most promising new names in electronic music. This time returning with a heavyweight 2 tracker EP ‘The Kickdrum’. His bass-driven, groove-focused sound has already caught the attention of respected figures including Sam Collins, James Poole, Paco Osuna, Ilario Alicante, Melanie Ribbe, Shiba San and Flashmob. Growing up in a household filled with Soul, Funk and RnB, he began learning music theory and beat-making as a child, laying the groundwork for his distinct approach to house. Since relocating to London, he has sharpened his sound through the Qube community and collaborations with established artists, while drawing influence from Tech House, Minimal/Deep Tech and UK Garage.
Momentum first came through his viral SoundCloud rework of Space Jam, followed by releases like Kinda Sexy (2024) and his 2025 edit of Locky, Max and Luke Dean’s Can’t Decide. His first commercial release, Can’t Take My Joy (Makswa Remix) on Vivifier Records, secured tastemaker support and spins on Centreforce883 and Data Transmission. His latest project, The Kickdrum EP on White Widow Records, pushes his sound further with a sharp, floor-focused tech house aesthetic. Always locked into the studio, Makswa continues to deliver tracks that ignite clubs, and with consistent chart recognition and support from top DJs, he’s positioning himself as a rising talent with serious momentum.
