HANNAH WANTS LANDS ON MOODCOLLECTIVE WITH ‘U DIG?’
Hannah Wants makes her first appearance on Nicole Moudaber’s MoodCollective with “U Dig?”, a darker, more hypnotic club cut that leans into late-night pressure rather than obvious hands-in-the-air moments. Built around a tight house groove, acidic arpeggiating synths and low-slung spoken vocals, the track feels like Wants stepping into a more mysterious space while still keeping that direct, DJ-friendly energy she’s known for.
The release follows the Birmingham DJ and producer’s recent launch of Counter Culture Music, her new record label and events brand, adding another chapter to a career that has now spanned well over a decade. From early underground momentum through to releases on Defected, DFTD, MOAN and Moon Harbour, Hannah Wants has built a catalogue rooted in house music that works in real clubs, with tracks like “Cure My Desire” on Defected and her 2025 collaboration with Audiojack on Moon Harbour showing the range of her sound.
For MoodCollective, “U Dig?” also feels like a strong fit. The label is the first sub-label in Nicole Moudaber’s wider InTheMood world, sitting alongside her long-running radio show and flagship MOOD imprint. With the label already hosting names including Castion, VLTRA and Francisco Allendes, and picking up support from across the house and techno spectrum including Michael Bibi, Groove Armada, Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Joseph Capriati and Adam Beyer. Hannah Wants’ debut adds another heavyweight name to its growing catalogue
