BRAZILIAN NEWCOMER RIBGUGA DEBUTS ON DIRTYBIRD WITH BRASIL EP

Ribguga steps onto Dirtybird for the first time with his Brasil EP, released November 7 as part of the label’s 20th anniversary run. The two-track release brings in fellow Brazilian collaborators Balanka and Carvalho (BR), setting the tone for a fresh wave of talent emerging from the country’s underground. It’s a tight introduction to Ribguga’s rhythmic, playful sound, anchored in percussion and color, and shaped by the raw energy of Brazil’s club scene.

INSIDE THE BRASIL EP

Both tracks give a look at Ribguga’s range. Talkin’ Too Much with Balanka blends slick vocal work with a low-end groove that locks instantly, while President alongside Carvalho (BR) leans into a hazier, late-night mood with a tougher backbone. Together, they form a snapshot of where Brazil’s next generation is headed and how that energy is feeding into Dirtybird’s wider identity as it celebrates two decades of pushing left-field dance music forward.

DIRTYBIRD EXPANDS ITS BRAZIL CONNECTION

Dirtybird’s ties to Brazil run deeper each year, having championed artists like Bruno Furlan, Cour T., and DJ Glen, and now welcoming Ribguga as the newest voice in that lineage. The label is building on its Taste Of Brazil compilation and recent debut from BadComppany, with even bigger plans for 2026 including Flight Week Brasil, a multi-city anniversary tour. Following his EP drop, Ribguga will join the Flight Week Brasil writing camp and perform at the December 5 showcase in Belo Horizonte, marking another milestone in his fast-climbing trajectory.
